Hibiscus opens,
A spiral unwinds
Turns back into herself
Twenty days

Compost
Slowly generating
From kitchen waste
Breathing back into tulsi
A month or more

In my balcony
Ten plants
We breathe in
breathe out
All morning

Rain beats against the grill
Slipping into red earth
And she turns back into herself
Quietly in the night,
Hibiscus
