I see the arts as languages of the thousand selves we traverse between our own identities. What I cannot say in one medium, I find a voice to say in another. What finds form in painting, moves fluidly into my dance. The lines I evoke in dance, transform into rhythmic pulses in my colours. The infinite play and exchange of form and space, texture and imagination, social change and environment weave into myriad layers in my work.

Nature is my inspiration, teacher, beloved and self. It is in my connection with the skies, rivers, trees and dust of the earth that I find the pathways for my art production, reflection and meditation.

The wonderful challenge of the arts, I find, lie in their ability to completely destroy us, and then invite us to find ourselves, engaging in the dance of creation, in Leela, the lovely play of life. And in their unique nature, they hold us responsible for what we bring into the world. To me, of all the incredible possibilities of creating, if I can bring silence and compassion into being through my work, I find that my day has not been lived in vain. Joy, sorrow, fullness, emptiness, transformation, dissolution, and innovation for me, happen in that space between the depth of solitude and thoughtful relationships.
