ResearchResearch is very inspiring and helps me deepen my knowledge on a regular basis. My vision and perception have always been holistic and so often my research work is into larger systems than select focused areas of study.
Art history, Indian art, mythology and philosophy, Art Education, Environmental education, Design thinking, Evolution of Consciousness, Gender and thinking, Nature of thinking, Inner silence and compassion, Identity and self-reflection are some of the areas I research in. A lot of my research based writings and work in the field have been focused on building interdisciplinary pathways to grasp the complexity and interwoven nature of life and living and how our human life and journeys are interrelated to other systems, both subtle and gross, visible and invisible. For my masters in Art History and graphic design, my thesis work was on " The Known and the Unknown: Understanding Hindu Art in the context of Consciousness through Myths and Legends." This work has formed the basis of much of my art, design and well as educational work over the years. Currently I am working on a couple of books that will reflect some of these explorations. At Harvard, I worked on several other areas related to thinking and consciousness, all of which I explore in my field based work now. |
